Left the anchorage Friday morning It is sunny occasionally but so windy. On the ICW heading south towards For Lauderdale.
People just anchor anywhere and lots of marinas but I must say if you are smaller than 60 feet you would not be comfortable. Lots of money down here.
Lots of activity here and we had to turn off the AIS again as PC and working vessels all blend in.
Bahamas Cruise Ship.
At least this guy has an anchor on the boat as well.
You see a little of everything on the travels.
I am not taking pictures of the homes just condos and trailers. The homes I cannot fit into a picture frame they are to big.
Nice Golf courses again.
So it is getting late and we booked a marina as the winds are getting stronger. Came to rest at Lighthouse Point Marina at about 5:00 Got a pump out and slip decided they had a laundry facility so did a bunch of laundry. By the time I finished it was late and we ate at the local restaurant.
Now here can you bring your dog in and they give them treats and a bowl of water.
Had a nice salad and had a good nites rest. PS The winds increased to 45MPH and we were tied up good. May stay a few days until the weather changes.
We had extremely high winds here the last 2 days there’s white caps on the caloosahatchee river and small trees are coming down. Sounds like you’re ready to head to the Bahamas. Hope you have safe travels. I’m heading home Wednesday morning and let you know when I get there. Hopefully the weather warms up for you guys soon too.
