Alton is a beautiful stop and when we rented the car it gave us time to visit St. Louis as well. In one day we packed in the following: The Arc, The Hill for fine dinning Italian style,The Forest which contains many museums and everything to much to mention and the Zoo. Here we go again Payton and Karalee.
This is a painted wall just coming out of our marina in Alton.
This is St. Louis statue on the street driving by.
We drove around quite a bit trying to find out a parking space for the Arch.
This is city building to buy tickets to go to the arch.
As you can see John is always ahead of me he just likes getting his behind photo’d.
This is the inside ceiling of the building.
This is the arch we are going up in.
This is the tube you go in to go to the top.
Marshall was a little surprised.
This is us at the top and here are the pictures of the city from up there.
They just had a game at the stadium last night and won.
It was actually very overcast as we picked a rainy day to go do the arch but the pictures turned out good.
WE had someone take our picture and those small windows is where you take your pictures of the view of the city. It would be absolutely stunning at night.
This is at the bottom of the arch and the planning and engineers who designed the arch. A massive project and John bought a book with pictures on how it came together.
Now we are back on the street and off to the next adventure.
This place is on my bucket list:) Those pictures are incredible!!
