So we finished the arch and now on to The Forest and the Hill. The Hill has over 100 restaurants to choose from Spanish to Italian and we choose
We all had the special and although I don’t take pictures I will explain we had a salad, home made avacado soup and manicotti for lunch and it was all delicious. The owners of the restaurant are in their eighties and still come everyday seven days a week to ensure everything is good and right. The husband would like to stay home and his wife said you stay home you die. So he comes to work every day.
Then we drove around The Forest but we did not stop as it is to large for us to do everything so we opted for the Zoo-my idea as I love zoo’s. Now we arrived at 2:00 and only got one third of the zoo done as it closes at 5:00 Lots of walking around.
I hate snakes but I did take a lot of pictures of the ones on the other side of the glass.
This little albino was in with a turtle. No reason why.
Upside down sloth eating lunch.
Apparently this is the largest zoo in the North America and I must admit it was free entry the only thing we had to pay was parking.
Now these animals had all come in from the fields for feeding as it is really hot and they are more comfortable in their sleeping quarters but normally people do not go into the barn area so we were lucky to get these shots.
My picture of this animal did not turn out so here is the write up. It looks better in person.
Baby joeys.
Now this bird I thought was a statue as it did not move while we stood watching it for 5 minutes.
So that was it I never got to see the rest of the zoo we tried but they come along and ask you to leave. I must admit they have so many people working there it is amazing how well the animals are looked after we sawing them feeding most of them.
Now you can follow all through the zoo that we only made it 1/3 through.
