We arrived Yacht Basin Marina, and did laundry, and talked to Au Contraire and Tanuki and went out for dinner at the Yacht Club Au Contraire is a member at. Great to see everyone and we had a lovely evening.
Now when we arrived the harbour was busy with activity as the Navy Academy had graduation and Donald Trump showed up to give a speech. Did not come for dinner with us the helicopters and street where busy.
Next day we took a tour.
Mr. Squires in his suit took us for a tour of the State House on State Circle.
George Washingtons resignation letter is on display.
George Washington was 6 ft. 2 inches.
This fountain was used to water the horses when they were carriages. This is also another circle street Church circle st.
The governors house.
This house is original built in 1753.
We also went to church the next day and toured the academy as well. Now some of the graduates of class of 2018 from the Naval Academy got married in this church after the service. When we attended the church service the cadets were actually there and sang as well..
Also went to the basement to see the crypt of John Paul Jones.
This was in the park just down from the marina. The book Roots and movie was based on the writer.
The naval academy was wonderful but to much for me to explore. However we did visit the museum on what the men or prisoners did when they were captured and they built ships of any kind of bones they could. This was amazing.
This was all built of bones.
And then back to the boat.
In 2 short days we did a lot of walking and exploring Annapolis is amazing but you need more time.
