So we picked up Bob and Natalie to go into the marina they were booking a slip for Thursday to go home for a graduation. We ran into Tatiana – Kristen and James and decided to go for a beer and hang out.
We talked for so long it was 5:00 and we decided to go for dinner at Stripers.
So with all the light in the background this was the best I could do. John and I , James and Kristen and Natalie and Bob. Great times, great friends.
Now I did not pronounce this correctly several times but it made us all laugh. WE finally left and went back to the boat to rest after a long day of doing nothing.
Dropped of Bob and Natalie at their boat.
Now that nite we had gusts of 50 knots wind and rain, the bay was a little choppy and scary but our anchor held as did Bobs. Several boats had to reanchor it was about 9:00 oclock so we stayed up until midnight just to make sure everything was okay. A nice show for a lightening storm and thunder but I did not take pics.
Next day we toured.
Now this is like a park and it looks as if someone took sheets of paper and threw them into the park. It is letters of soldiers sending to wife’s, mothers family members the above pictures shows where they are and here I have taken some pictures of the letters. This is fantastic what they have done.
These are metal sheets.
Check out the year on these ones.
John and I spent about 2 hours reading the letter sent to their loved ones.
Then we walked around and took in the sites.
Mermaids are on every corner.
Now John and I have visited many ships, carriers and submarines so this time I just took pictures from outside.
Old church and houses.
And then the new.
Finally so tired we headed back to the boat but we did stop for lunch first. Nice to sit for awhile.
Great pictures, I especially like the bow on shot of the warship, it looks as if it’s ready to take off into outer space!
