This was the only piece I found when we took the tour of the fort that mentioned Fort Matanzar who protected St Augustine from an attach from the south.  Rather interesting.

So John talked to them and this is quite the weekend for St Augustine as they have a a large number of sail boats in the bay.

The average height of the soldiers was 4 feet six inches this was their sleeping quarters.

You really have to visit the fort yourself to understand the full history.

Lots of history and a beautiful city to tour the fort it was $10.00 a person.  Old man discount.  HHAHHAHAHAH
