Beaufort South Carolina

So today we put the dingy down and went into town to explore.

Got a picture of this old boat in the Marina.

Took a horse drawn buggy to tour the town.  That’s a great way to see the city.  It is quite the history to this town and the girl giving us the tour was excellent.

All these old houses have the outside ceilings painted in blue for the color of the sky.

I kept hearing that Spanish moss does not kill the trees but guess what in the old days they use to use this moss to make stuff their pillows.  The bad part is it is full of bugs.  Hence the saying don’t let the bed bugs bite.

John and I walked about town and then went in and had a late lunch.  Pizza really good done in a wood stove.

Saw this sign in a store and had to take a picture.

Left downtown and headed back to the boat.  Talked to a few people we had met at various stops along the way most are finishing their loop.
